Edward to Face DAMWON in the Grand Finals of 2021 Worlds

The semifinals of World Championship 2021 have concluded this weekend. There, both series concluded with 3-2 scores – first, T1 lost to DAMWON Gaming, and then Edward Gaming managed to defeat Gen.G Esports.

Both DAMWON, the winners of LCK Spring 2021 and LCK Summer 2021, as well as the runner-ups of MSI 2021, and Edward Gaming, the champions of LPL Summer 2021, started competing at Worlds 2021 in its Group Stage. While DAMWON managed to win all their matches within Group A and placed first there, Edward finished second in Group B with a 4-2 score. Later in the quarterfinals DAMWON eliminated MAD Lions (3-0), while Edward outplayed RNG (3-2).

Now they will face each other in the tournament’s grand finals, which is scheduled for 12:00 PM UK time, November 6th. The winner will receive $489,500 in prize money, while the runner-up will be awarded $333,750.
