FaZe Clan Triumphs at IEM Sydney 2023

On Sunday, the first big tournament for Counter-Strike 2 came to an end.

In the grand final, FaZe Clan squared off against Complexity. Both teams had finished third in their respective groups, starting their playoff run from the quarterfinals.

On their journey to the finals, FaZe Clan defeated ENCE (2:0) and MOUZ (2:0). Complexity overcame BB Team (2:0) and G2 Esports (2:0).

In the best-of-3 finale, Complexity clinched the first map (13:11 on Overpass). However, FaZe Clan evened the series on Nuke (13:10) and later secured the tournament title in overtime on Ancient (19:16).

For their victory at IEM Sydney 2023, FaZe Clan was awarded not just the $100,000 prize but also an invitation to IEM Katowice 2024. The tournament will take place in Poland from January 31 to February 11, 2024, with a prize pool of $1,000,000.
