OG, Klim Sani4, G2.iG, and Shopify Rebellion Qualify for DreamLeague Season 22
Following the matches on January 15th in the regional qualifiers for DreamLeague Season 22, four more teams have been qualified to participate in the tournament, which boasts a prize pool of $1,000,000.
The first team to secure one of the three slots for Western Europe was OG. To qualify for the tournament, the team needed to win two matches: 2:1 against KZ Team and 2:0 in the decisive match against Team Tickles. Another slot in the upper bracket will be contested by Tundra Esports and Entity, while the last third slot will go to the best team in the lower bracket.
In the Eastern Europe regional qualifiers' lower bracket final, Klim Sani4 fiercely defeated NAVI with a score of 2:1, earning the region's last slot. The deciding third map lasted almost 95 minutes.
In the lower bracket final of the China regional qualifiers, G2.iG and LGD Gaming faced off, and G2.iG emerged victorious in the best-of-3 series with a score of 2:1. The team earned the second and last slot for the region.
Shopify Rebellion became the holders of the sole slot for North America by defeating nouns in a best-of-5 grand final with a score of 3:2.
Until January 17th, the organizers of DreamLeague Season 22 will distribute five more slots for the tournament. The match schedule is available here.
DreamLeague Season 22, with a prize pool of $1,000,000, will take place in Europe from February 25th to March 10th. Sixteen teams will participate.
