SumaiL leaves Nigma to join Aster on loan

Nigma Galaxy has announced the transfer of their middle player to Team Aster. Exact details of the deal were not disclosed, but it is known that SumaiL will play for the Chinese club on loan.

SumaiL joined Nigma Galaxy in May 2022, and during that time the club's biggest achievement in terms of prize money was a 5th-6th place finish at the Riyadh Masters 2022 ($40,000). Nigma did not qualify for The International 2022 and was relegated from Division I to Division II at the end of the 2nd round of the DPC this season.

At the recently concluded Berlin Majors, SumaiL stood in for Team Aster in place of Xwy, who was previously benched. At the ESL One Berlin Major 2023, the team finished fifth in Group A and advanced to the lower bracket playoffs, where they defeated Team Spirit (2-0) but lost to Team Liquid (0-2).

Aster finished in 7th-8th place at the Major. The team earned $12,500 in prize money and 200 DPC points.

Team Aster is playing in the DPC China Division I, which starts on May 16th.
