Spain Wins the EURO 2024 Championship
On the evening of July 14, the final match of the 2024 European Football Championship was played. The national teams of Spain and England competed for the title of champion.
The match ended with a 2-1 victory for Spain. The first goal was scored by Nicholas Williams from a pass by Yamal in the 47th minute, but 26 minutes later, Cole Palmer equalized the score thanks to an assist from Bellingham.
The decisive goal was scored by Mikel Oyarzabal four minutes before the end of regular time. England was unable to equalize in the remaining minutes of regular and extra time, and the Spanish team became the tournament champions.
For Spain, this is their fourth victory in a EURO final. The English team remains without trophies for the 58th consecutive year. The team, led by coach Southgate, reached the EURO final for the second time in a row but suffered defeat for the second time. In 2021, England lost the championship title to Italy in a penalty shootout.
