Gambit Esports Win DreamHack Open November 2020
DreamHack Open November 2020 has ended with the victory of Gambit Esports. In the tournament’s grand finals they outplayed Team Spirit with the 3-1 score.
Both Gambit and Spirit qualified for playoffs from the first place in their group. Later in the semifinals Spirit outplayed Illuminar (2-0), while Gambit defeated AGF. In the final series Spirit emerged victorious at Dust II (16:6), while Gambit managed to beat their opponents at Train (16:2), Overpass (16:5) and Mirage (16:8).
The tournament’s prize pool was set at $100,000, half of which was awarded to the winner. While the event definitely lacked in high-profile teams, the first place is still a big achievement for young and victory-hungry players of Gambit Esports, who were promoted from to youngsters to the main roster just last month.
