MAD Lions Defeat FNATIC in the Grand Finals of LEC Summer 2021
MAD Lions have managed to win yet another seasonal split of LoL European Championship 2021 – in the grand finals of the summer season they defeated Fnatic.
After finishing third in the group stage, MAD Lions started the playoffs from the upper bracket. On their way to the grand finals they outplayed G2 Esports (3-1) and Rogue (3-0). The final series concluded with a 3-1 score in their favour.

Both finalists have secured their places in the group stage of 2021 World Championship. Meanwhile Rogue, who placed third, will compete in the tournament’s Play-In stage.
This year’s WC was initially planned to take place in five Chinese cities, however recently RIOT Games announced that the event will be held in Europe due to international travel restrictions.
